Architectural Project Manager

The Architectural Project Manager is a professional responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of architectural projects, from initial concept through to completion. This role serves as the bridge between all stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the desired quality standards. You coordinate the design development process from early concept stage through construction completion and ensure architectural projects are executed smoothly, efficiently, and to the satisfaction of all involved parties. Candidate will work under the supervision of the department design manager/ licensed architect. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in design direction to outside architects and engineers and coordination with internal operations personnel and team members
  • Perform review of architectural and engineering construction drawings for quality assurance and adherence to company standards
  • Prepare design document deliverables for all project team members
  • Prepare full design and construction documentation for in-house projects
  • Perform CA administration tasks; reviewing shop drawings, project submittals, and answering RFIs
  • Coordinate with, and direct, outside architects on entitlements, due diligence and site research tasks to determine project feasibility
  • Assist with maintenance of company design guidelines, standards, specifications and materials
  • Act as owner representative, collaborate with out-of-house architects in meeting with governmental agencies or officials as needed
  • Visit project sites to monitor design quality assurance, perform as-built surveys and document existing conditions as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Skills:

  • Proficiency in Revit preferred
  • Fluent with SketchUp, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative suite, MS Office suite
  • Proficiency in architectural design, site design and space planning
  • Strong knowledge of architectural systems, building codes and ADA requirements, land use/ zoning ordinances to effectively communicate with out-of-house architects
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to multitask between multiple projects ranging from broad level overview to technical/ detail oriented tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment to stay current with company growth demands
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and take ownership of tasks assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Architecture degree or equivalent
  • Architecture experience: 5+ years
  • Project Management: 3+ years
