ABOUT THE JOB:
The Jewish Board’s Adult and Family Residential Domestic Violence Shelters support domestic violence survivors and their family members. Using a non-judgmental, trauma-informed approach, staff guide the residents to create and meet personalized recovery goals, to stabilize their families, to develop independent living skills, and to plan effectively to be able to live in a healthy and secure manner. Our work is guided by principles that emphasize the critical importance of safe and stable housing, utilize a culturally competent and anti-racist lens, and respect the dignity and legitimacy of each individual’s journey.
The Social worker is responsible for superior practice and/or the assumption of additional or special responsibilities. Evaluate case data. Perform treatment processes. Analyze and evaluate course results of treatment processes.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Obtain, analyze and evaluate case data.
- Carry out treatment processes.
- Analyze and evaluate course and results of treatment processes.
- Record material and case summaries.
- Carry a caseload and provide case management services to individuals. Provide social work interventions based on assessment of client’s need and case service plan.
- Conduct assessments, unit inspections, and complete clinical documentation as required in a timely manner. Document all resident contact in progress notes.
- Conduct services with client’s using evidence base practices specifically Critical Time Intervention.
- Complete all intake assessment and coordinate intake process for new clients.
- Prepare integrative Person Centered Service plan, based on assessments from referral source and in collaboration with resident.
- Maintain an up to date clinical charts at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Utilize Agency resources as well as community resources to perform related tasks.
TO QUALIFY
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) and LMSW obtained within 6 months of hire.
- The ideal candidate must have a minimum of one-year experience of relevant experience working in the field of domestic violence, substance abuse or community outreach.
