Part Time – Utility Maintenance - Skilled Trade Assistant
Position Profile: UTIL MAINT – STADIUM SYSTEMS
Department: Stadium Systems
Reports to: Project Director MEP & Construction
Rate of Pay: $25.13/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Job Summary: Skilled Trade Assistants assist members of the Stadium Systems Department in the repair, maintenance, and inspection of Stadium HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Duties and hours may vary. A typical work week is Monday-Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm. A Skilled Trade Assistant may be responsible for any or all of the following tasks.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Coil Cleaning – Utilize hoses and cleaning chemicals to ensure condenser coils on all chillers, rooftop units, air handlers, etc. are clean and functioning properly. Conduct routine checks to ensure coils are clean.
- Filter Maintenance – Locate and replace filters on Air Handlers and other HVAC systems requiring filters. Includes maintaining dryer filters as needed.
- Item Stocking/organization – Pick up and stock items from vendors as needed. Maintain organization of items in warehouse. Receive deliveries from vendors and stock in warehouse. Provide inventory as needed.
- Job/Repair Preparation – Assist skilled trades by gathering necessary tools and materials to complete repairs and maintenance.
- Water/Wastewater Management – Assist in removal or pumping of water or wastewater that is a byproduct of plumbing/fire sprinkler repairs or incidents.
- Job Cleanup – Assist skilled trades by cleaning up messes made by repairs or incidents. Includes returning tools, lifts, ladders, carts, and materials to their proper storage areas
- Plumbing Assistance – Assist Skilled Plumber in repairs and maintenance of plumbing systems. Including but not limited to snaking drains/cleanouts, holding parts/material in place, etc. at discretion and under supervision of a Plumber.
- Electrical Assistance - Assist Skilled Electricians in repairs and maintenance of electrical systems. Including but not limited to exchanging light bulbs, holding parts/material in place, etc. at discretion and under supervision of an electrician.
COMPETENCIES:
- Technical Skills - ability to learn and use equipment including but not limited to scissor lifts, boom lifts, hose wands, ladders, pumps, gators, trailers, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
- Basic Hand Tool Operation –able to operate basic hand tools including but not limited to wrenches, hammers, saws, screwdrivers, impacts, drills, etc. Able to read a tape measure and a level.
- Working from Heights – able to safely work from scissor lifts, boom lifts, ladders, and scaffolding safely while wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- Motivation - Demonstrates excellent personal motivation and encourages others to be motivated and enthusiastic. Shows persistence and overcomes obstacles.

EXPECTATIONS:
- Reports to work each day and on time and works extra hours when needed.
- Employee must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents, etc).
- Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- The employee must be able to determine the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- If required to travel for business: maintains a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must undergo and pass a background check.
