Shipping Lead (Engineering)

BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION 
Leads efforts to ship parts and machines, and receive parts and machines for the R&D building supporting Warranty, Quality Assurance, Technical Services, Engineering, Marketing and R&D.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:  This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
•    Make certain all orders/machines are packed and loaded for shipment. 
•    Tag equipment when received and move to the appropriate area.
•    Coordination of shipping machines for KTC business activities by arranging shipping and/or coordinating with outside shipping vendor.
•    Staging of equipment for events and coordinating multiple trucks.
•    File daily paperwork/BOLS.
•    Notify and deliver received parts and equipment to the correct areas and notify the correct team focal points.
•    Fill in customs forms to ensure prompt deliveries to foreign countries as needed.
•    Thoroughly check incoming items for damage and report to shipping company. 
•    Ensure that the shipping area and shipped goods are secure at the end of each day, breaks and lunch.  
•    Conduct daily inspections on forklifts and report issues to Shop Supervisor.
•    Ability to work overtime and travel as needed to support business activities.
•    Additional duties as assigned by management.    

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•    Associates degree or related experience 
•    Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Power Point, and Word.
•    Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
•    The ability to use a computer to enter and/or retrieve information.
•    Ability to use web-based shipping and other sites (FedEx.com, UPS.com, etc.)
•    Knowledge, skill, and ability to safely operate and train others on all forms of equipment in the shipping area 
•    Forklift operator certified or to become certified (Kubota can provide)


EQUIPMENT OPERATION (% of time, description, nature of service):
•    Computer, electric forklifts, propane forklifts, reach truck, pallet jack, shrink wrap machine, cardboard compactor, trash compactor
•    Load and unloading trucks and driving Kubota machines.
•    Office equipment including copier, fax, phone, printer.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.  Environment includes both warehouse and office settings and requires walking, standing and sitting at a computer.
