BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

The Senior Human Resource Generalist position supports the (Corporate) in the development, implementation, and maintenance divisional human resources functions.

 

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:  This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:

  • Helps organizes and prepare staffing efforts including open position reports and organization charts and/or maintains these reports at the division level.
  • Assists with employee relations issues, including meeting with employees, minor investigations and disciplinary actions.
  • Participates in the local safety program.
  • Analyzes HR Metrics and prepares reports.
  • Provides employee inquires and support enforcement on company HR policies, such as: timesheet, dress code and attendance.
  • Leads project teams for various HR projects as assigned.
  • Provides HR support to corporate and/or division department Directors.
  • Serve as a backup to other division HR Generalist team members.
  • Timesheet administration and reporting. 
  • Maintains data in HRIS database, which may include some or all of the following:  maintenance of the system, troubleshooting, implementing updates and running reports.
  • Partner with Kubota University to create training programs for employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR) preferred.
  • At least 7-10 years of Human Resources experience
  • Must have HR experience in full cycle recruiting and managing employee relations and investigations
  • Must be familiar with reporting and tracking for LOA, FMLA and ADA administration
  • Must have experience in onboarding and off boarding employees
  • Experience with timesheet reporting and administration for non-exempt employees
  • Must have experience with completing HR team projects from beginning to end, including: planning; documenting and managing corporate HR projects.
  • Experience with creating and presenting power point presentations.
  • Solid proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce or similar HRIS preferred.
  • Able to travel up to 10%.

 

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

 

EQUIPMENT OPERATION (% of time, description, nature of service):

Basic office equipment (computer, fax machine, phones, copiers)

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Able to lift up to 20 lbs.

Some travel may be required
