BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

The Loss Mitigation and Recovery Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the KCC Loan Servicing Center late-stage Collections functions including the management of severely delinquent accounts, litigation, bankruptcy, loss mitigation, titles, asset remarketing and lease maturity management.

 

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:  This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the late-stage Collections team to meet portfolio performance objectives and minimize loss exposure in compliance with Company policy.
  • Manage all aspects of the repossession process including account review, notices, auction coordination, titles, and customer and dealer support.
  • Execute end-of-lease strategies that focus on retaining customers, engaging dealers, maximizing resale values and protecting the brand.
  • Lead efforts to develop, communicate, and implement processes related to Title, MSO and UCC filings.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for late-stage Collections policy and procedure.
  • Proactively evaluate LSC operational Policies and Procedures to ensure thorough coverage of operational processes.
  • Effectively manage escalated customer and dealer concerns.
  • Regularly engage with Supervisors and Team Leaders to provide continual coaching and support to help them reach their maximum potential.
  • Actively contribute to departmental initiatives, process redesigns and projects impacting KCC team members, customers and Kubota dealers.
  • Provide oversight and assistance in the management of third-party vendors and service providers.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where all ideas are valued, and team members have a clear understanding of how they contribute to the achievement of enterprise objectives.
  • Establish and nurture strong working relationships with all KCC departments, KTC and Kubota dealers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • As required by the Director or President.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.  Ten+ years of collections experience and High School Diploma may be accepted in lieu of degree.

 

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:

  • 10+ years of combined collections and/or customer service experience specific to the financing and/or leasing of automobiles, heavy trucks, turf, power sports, construction, and/or agricultural equipment is required.
  • 7+ years of management experience including leading medium- to large-size teams.
  • Expert-level knowledge of federal and state rules, regulations, and policies for servicing consumer and commercial loan and lease accounts.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills including training, coaching and mentoring high performing teams.
  • Ability to effectively lead, influence and direct peers, subordinates and management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

 

TECHNOLOGY: Office equipment including computer, copier, fax, phone, printer

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Typical office environment.  The position will require walking, standing and sitting at a computer.
