We are an independent, global, one-stop-shop focused on delivering Central Laboratory Services that are tailor-made, timely and flexible to meet the evolving study demands of traditional to increasingly complex trials. Additionally, we provide Functional Service Provider (FSP) Solutions, supporting our clients with scientific and technical expertise, acting as an extension of their team, coordinating all laboratory related needs, advising on strategies for lab data collection and providing end-to-end analytical and logistical solutions. 

Summary

The Director of Salesforce Engineering will be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing Salesforce solutions that meet our unique business needs. Expertise in Salesforce will drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency across the organization, ensuring that our systems align with our strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Salesforce engineers and developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a Salesforce strategy that aligns with LabConnect's goals, driving the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Architecture & Design: Architect scalable and effective Salesforce solutions, customizing the platform to support our laboratory operations, client management, and reporting needs.
  • Integration: Oversee the integration of Salesforce with other systems and tools, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality across platforms.
  • Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize existing Salesforce implementations to enhance performance, user experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Problem Solving: Address complex technical challenges related to Salesforce configuration, customization, and integration, providing innovative solutions that meet business needs.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support for end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize Salesforce to achieve their goals.
  • Stay Current: Keep abreast of Salesforce updates, features, and best practices, ensuring that LabConnect leverages the latest advancements in the platform.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience with Salesforce development and architecture, including significant experience in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, functionality, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Experience with data modeling, integration, and security within Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving operational efficiency through technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing technical teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Salesforce certifications preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices are preferred
