Location: Onsite, FOC -  Fort Worth, TX.  

Schedule: Monday – Friday (M-Th, 7:30am-5pm; F, 8am-5pm)

 

What work will you perform?

As a Field Operations Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our BCOs and Operators by ensuring they have clear revenue expectations, resolving their operational queries and concerns, and conducting thorough follow-ups after orientation sessions to identify and meet their ongoing needs. You will collaborate closely with BCO Advisors, manage and update crucial files in iSeries 400, and facilitate effective communication between new BCOs/Operators and their advisors and CABS (Carrier Assistance Business Solution).

 

 

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Establish revenue expectations with BCOs.
  • Provide solutions for BCO and Operator questions/problems/concerns.
  • Conduct orientation follow up with BCOs and Operators to determine their needs.
  • Work directly with BCO Advisors in managing and providing first contact and review information.
  • Update Contractor, Tractor and Operator files in iSeries 400, as needed.
  • Facilitate in the establishment of communication between new BCOs/Operators and Operators, and their advisors and CABS.  Help facilitate same between BCOs/Operators and agents.
  • Emphasize the importance of the "tools" Landstar offers. Landstaronline.com, Load Alerts, Lane Match, IVR cards, Profit & Loss, load search apps, business success videos, etc.).
  • Coordinate with orientation coordinators any recommend changes to orientation and CABS program.
  • Perform as a back-up for Orientation and CABS Coordinators including class instruction, contract renewal, and hazmat recertification and issuing ELDs, etc.
  • Handle incoming visits and calls from BCOs and Operators.
  • Actively participate in weekly orientation retention call.
  • Special projects and assignments as needed.
  • Perform Hours of Service Review with BCOs as needed.
  • Facilitate problem solving between agents and BCOs
  • Participate in safety meetings.  May be during non-business hours or on-site as needed.
  • Assist safety in the operation and coordination of the driver simulator program.
  • Must perform duties to the standards of the job description and comply with the company's policies, practices, and procedures.

 

 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED),
  • 1 year customer service in an office environment

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the transportation industry

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a sometimes complex, fast-paced, and moderately stressful environment
  • Proficient in data entry, iSeries 400 skills internet and Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint, helpful
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-task orientated environment
  • Able to perform quality work with minimal supervision, and manage time wisely
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate others
  • Some travel required.
  • Prior experience in trucking industry and within Landstar, preferred.
