A New Leaf is seeking a dynamic Community Marketing Specialist to enhance our visibility and outreach efforts. This role involves developing and executing marketing strategies to promote A New Leaf's programs and services, fostering community relationships, and driving engagement through various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for making a positive impact in the community. While experience is helpful, this is an entry-level position, perfect for those looking to start their career in marketing and community engagement. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

 

Pay Range: $19.23 - $21.63 (depending on years of experience)

On-site Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8am – 5pm

Location: Mesa, AZ

 

Education:       

  • High School diploma or GED, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Political Science, or other related degree in the Humanities, required.

Experience:    

  • Experience in content and communication development.
  • Experience developing communication strategy and conceptual design of campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress, preferred.
  • Experience working in Hootsuite or other social media content management tools, preferred.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Communications Manager to create and implement marketing plans for A New Leaf’s programs.
    • Draft marketing plans for each program.
    • Assist with execution, including creating marketing assets, designing swag materials, editing website content, and managing social media and email strategies.
    • Convert paper-based procedures to digital when possible.
    • Develop content marketing materials for programs and philanthropy, including research, copywriting, and design.
  • Assist with graphic design for fundraising and marketing, using Canva, Adobe InDesign, and Illustrator, and coordinating with graphic design firms.
  • Support the community engagement team in creating meaningful experiences for prospects, volunteers, and donors.
    • Ensure proper data capture and meaningful engagement at events.
    • Provide follow-up communications to convert volunteers to donors.
    • Manage outreach to prospective community partners, including creating solicitation collateral and coordinating with the Events Manager.
  • Assist with stewardship of annual fund donors, including managing ThankView campaigns.
  • Provide writing and editing support for speeches, press releases, interviews, and event content.
  • Assist with creating, designing, and updating website pages using WordPress.
  • Support development of website and social media plans and strategies.
  • Drive a personal vehicle to conduct program business.

Compliance/Requirements:    

  • Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card 
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation 
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance 
  • Clean 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record 
  • Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
