Are you a service-oriented strategic HR leader with a passion for driving organizational excellence? A New Leaf is looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Resources to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. This senior level position combines strategic leadership to oversee all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, training, compensation, and HRIS. As part of the senior management team, you will contribute to decision-making and strategic planning efforts, working with an organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the community.

 

Salary: $87k - $97k (depending on years of experience)

Schedule: On-site; 8am-5pm

Location: Mesa, AZ

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or other relevant field and/or equivalent experience required. 
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification preferred. 

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in a HR leadership role 
  • 5+ years of experience in direct supervision of staff 
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management, compensation, employee relations, policy development, state and federal regulatory compliance, job evaluation, training, etc. 
  • Demonstrated competence in talent acquisition, affirmative action, and onboarding. 
  • Demonstrated competence in employee relations, conflict management, and mediation. 
  • Demonstrated competence in daily operation of a Human Resources Department. 
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Email, Dayforce, and database management is preferred. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Lead and develop a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. 
  • Drive HR functional planning, forecasting, and organizational development initiatives. 
  • Proactively identify employment-related issues and collaborate with the leadership team on program development and refinement. 
  • Evaluate agency risk in areas of employment relations and compliance, providing strategic guidance to mitigate potential risks. 
  • Advise on high-risk employee relations matters and review significant issues to ensure compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other regulations. 
  • Utilize HR data and metrics to direct strategies and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Ensure accuracy and effectiveness of HRIS system and turnover metrics analysis. 
  • Evaluate and enhance agency training programs to meet current and future needs. 
  • Lead discussions with senior leadership to forecast future training requirements and oversee implementation. 
  • Develop compensation strategies and market assessment practices to support agency objectives. 
  • Review and refine performance management programs for optimal effectiveness. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration through active participation in supervision and achievement of personal and professional goals. 
  • Support the ongoing culture of the agency by aligning with its mission and values and fostering positive relationships within the departments and across the agency.

  • Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card 
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation 
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance 
  • 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record 
  • Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age
