Purchasing Manager

Duties/Responsibilities

• Leading tactical and strategic purchasing activities 
• Oversees the acquisition, contracts, and management of all vendors for the company.
• Negotiate and evaluate with current and new vendors to improve cost, processes, terms, and quality
• Developing and implementing strategies to direct vendors to achieve cost reduction targets
• Establish departments goals, KPIs and lead team to meet these targets
• Evaluating and ensuring suppliers are achieve quality standards and requirements
• Partnering with all levels of manufacturing to ensure supply chain expectations are being  achieved
• Develop and present reports to executive management team
•  Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future supply availability

Qualifications

•  4+ years proven experience in a similar role required
•  Bachelors Degree preferred
• Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Software  proficiency in  DSSI or equivalent procurement platform
