POSITION PURPOSE:

Administers Supply Chain brand optimization projects across all categories. Manages products through approval process.  Works independently to coordinate timelines, direct logistics, product set up, inventory control, costs accuracy through stages of testing brand optimization products.  Ensures required documentation is in place with suppliers identified to go to test and introduce to system.  Engages with cross functional internal/external partners to drive brand optimization projects through to completion.  Aligns with Project Leaders to develop work plans for each project, and administers those plans, updating throughout the life of the project, to completion. Works with suppliers and distributors with minimal supervision. Manages assigned product categories as designated by supervisor.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain work plans for brand optimization projects coordinating with cross-functional teams to report on project advancement.
  • Administers project plans to drive results aligning progress reports from cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinates the implementation of brand optimization products with distribution including new vendor set up, product set up, directing quantities and facilitating timelines for test and/or transition to EPL’s system. 
  • Working with supply chain software ArrowStream to accurately maintain product information:  lead times, inventory, pricing, and applicable reporting.
  • Fosters relationships with suppliers of items assigned to brand optimization, across all categories and is primary liaison managing them through multi-step approval process including relevant documentation and product samples.
  • Interfaces with SCM Suppliers to gather information for updating work plans.
  • Meets regularly with VP SCM and/or Sr Director SCM to review current projects in progress, follows up on current/pending issues, processes any additional requests and obtain additional projects.
  • Interacts professionally and ethically, constructively participating as a collaborative team member or leader in pursuit of common goals.
  • Other activities, duties or responsibilities that are assigned by your supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

Education/Work Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required, BA/BS degree preferred.  Five plus years’ related experience in the supply chain, purchasing and/or distribution industry, preferably with a multi chain concept.

 

License/Certifications:  N/A

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in procurement, a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute projects within scope, time sensitive, and detail orientation.
  • Ability to identify potential risks associated with a project and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Confidence in execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Must be decisive and able to make fact-based decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset and skills; meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners. 
  • Ability to prioritize and plan work assignments and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and unforeseen challenges.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret complex reports, documents, and correspondence. 
  • High level of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications, customized database applications, and internet research tools. Experience with ArrowStream a plus.
  • Adept at managing and prioritizing competing time sensitive requests while working well in a team atmosphere that may be under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment on matters of significance to the company.
  • Ability to travel by car and air to local and national company and franchise locations and manufacturing facilities.

The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria. Individual pay will vary based on a variety of factors including years of experience, industry experience, education, geography, etc.
