Summary

The Inventory Associate exemplifies professional integrity, business and supply chain acumen, knowledge of automotive industry compliance and practices, and a passion for delivering quality, detail-oriented work, exceptional customer service, and supporting business goals and operations. The Inventory Associate is responsible for assisting and supporting the Inventory Manager with the procurement, supply levels, storage, and distribution of automotive parts and supplies across multiple repair centers nationwide while ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.

 

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Monitor accurate inventory levels across all locations, ensuring the availability of necessary parts and supplies while minimizing overstock and shortages.
  • Assist in the processing of purchase orders, coordinating shipments, and updating inventory records to ensure timely and accurate data entry.
  • Review inventory data regularly to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to recommend adjustments to inventory levels and reordering practices.
  • Assist with facilitating periodic inventory audits and cycle counts to validate stock levels and ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in inventory records.
  • Work closely with suppliers and store managers to coordinate the timely delivery of parts and supplies, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Generate and distribute regular inventory reports to management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and any issues that require attention.
  • Work closely with inventory management, the operations team, senior management, outside vendor partners, and other team members to support inventory-related projects, process improvements, and other initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Inventory management, the operations team, senior management, and outside vendor partners to execute business plans, directives, initiatives, programs, budgets, and more.
  • Assist with ensuring that all inventory management activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes affecting automotive repair and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Credentials, and Experience

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in inventory management, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and industry trends is highly desirable

  • Must be legally authorized to work within the United States while employed by Leeds West Groups.
  • Successful completion of background check.

Physical Demands

This position requires prolonged sitting, computer use, fine motor skills, lifting, carrying, reaching, standing, hearing, speaking, visual strain, and mobility to successfully perform the essential job functions in a demanding and dynamic environment.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This full-time salary (overtime exempt) hybrid position requires at least 40 hours of work per week with a remote work option available one day a week. Corporate business operations are Monday through Friday unless on special assignment.

 

Travel

This position requires up to 5% travel. Overnight travel requirements are less than 5% unless on a particular assignment. Travel and mileage reimbursements may apply, subject to Company policy.
