Lynden Incorporated is seeking a Software Developer II. to work as part of our SeaTac based team. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting a variety of applications systems and providing customized software solutions for freight management applications. This position is non safety sensitive.

  • Work closely with customers, business analysts and senior-level developers to understand business requirements that drive the analysis, design, and development of quality/cost effective technical solutions. 
  • Design solutions that are aligned with business and I.T. strategies and comply with Lynden’s architectural standards, delivered on time and within budget.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality software by writing clean code and utilizing unit test, continuous integration, and code reviews.
  • Analyze project requirements, the existing environment, available technology, and develop recommendations for appropriate technology solutions.
  • Make recommendations regarding the development of new code or reuse of existing code. 
  • Provide training and post installation support for customers, coworkers, and other IT employees.
  • Participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, setting priorities and following through to successful completion.
  • Reliability and timeliness are essential functions of this position.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree, with technical emphasis, from four-year College or university.
  • Four years’ experience developing applications in a business environment using Java8+, Spring Boot or Spring based micro services architecture is required.
  • Experience with event streaming platforms like Kafka, Spark is a plus.
  • Knowledge of processes and concepts like Git, DevOps, Continuous Deployment and Continuous Integration is a major plus.
  • Project management, Scrum and Agile Development experience is preferred.
