SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR | JOB DESCRIPTION 

 

SUMMARY 

At Magnolia, the Social Media Coordinator collaborates with the Social Media team to plan and execute content schedules across various platforms. This position is also responsible for monitoring social channels, leading community management, driving engagement, and providing performance reporting. This position works from Magnolia Headquarters in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Social Media Manager, Brand and has no supervisory responsibilities. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Collaborate with Social Media team to build and plan social media content and posting calendar across all brands and handles* 
  • Coordinate and oversee the execution of social media calendars for all brand handles across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube to ensure posts go out on time and without error* 
  • Monitor all social channels/handles and take lead on community management responses* 
  • Assist in the content ideation process for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to drive engagement with our followers and grow exposure for Magnolia on these platforms 
  • Assist with performance reporting across all social media platforms monthly and annually, utilizing social reporting tools like Sprout Social* 
  • Stay on top of social media trends, best practices, and platforms to provide new and innovative recommendations to achieve business results   
  • Assist with content curation and event coverage  
  • Utilize project management software to submit creative requests and manage through completion 
  • Collaborate with entity leaders, creative teams, and more cross-functional partners to develop engaging content 
  • Maintain file organization for social media team  
  • Perform other duties as assigned

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university preferred 
  • 0-2 years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred 
  • Experience maintaining accounts across a wide range of social media platforms preferred 
  • Required to work all Magnolia events; must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and arms to reach, handle, feel; utilize fine motor dexterity of fingers; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
