MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for the shipment and receiving of product and maintaining accurate inventory throughout the build in accordance with Viant practices and procedures.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows all FDA and ISO specifications
  • Follows all personal and good manufacturing practices based on Viant’s Values
  • Remain current with all required trainings and certifications
  • Be up to date on all job performs within the warehouse
  • Insure incoming, in-process, and outgoing product is correctly entered into the ERP system for production planning, accuracy, shipping, and traceability purposes.
  • Assure all components or products are shipped on-time to meet customer requirements
  • Assists with material handling as needed to support Operations.
  • Process shipping &/or receiving transactions in the ERP system.
  • Prepares proper documentation for US and International shipments as well as ordering trucks when needed as required.
  • Responsible for the receipt of goods, return to vendors, and flow of materials throughout the incoming process.
  • Operate forklift or other material handling equipment in a safe and effective manner to load and unload materials
  • Maintain 5S principles in all work areas at all times
  • Flexible schedule will be required to meet business needs. Some overtime, weekend, and on call hours may be required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift Certification (trained at Viant)

Job Experience:

  • 1 year experience in warehouse/logistics functions

Skill/Competencies:

  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as with team members
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Computer skills with ERP systems, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

  • Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination
  • Extended periods of bending, lifting, and standing
  • Significant use of hands
  • Frequently lifting up to 50lbs required, occasionally more with lift assistance from team members.
  • Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) where required including:
    • Safety glasses
    • Ear plugs
