Material Handler

Come and join our team! Viant is hiring immediately. This position is for 2nd shift - Monday to Thursday from 5 pm to 4 am.

Summary of Position:
Complies and maintains material inventory and status information to expedite movement of material between production areas, according to predetermined productions schedules and other priorities.  Read production schedules, inventory reports and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock and order priority.

Essential Functions:
Maintains the productions area with required materials at all times.
Give preventive maintenance to dryers on each material change.
Removes all materials not in use in coordination with the warehouse.
Packs and report in shifts report all products manufactures during his/her shift.
Verifies that all materials are in adequate container to be used in the dyers of a specified area.
Makes requisitions or transfers of all raw materials needed by productions department.
Assist productions supervisor as required.
Removes and weights scrap (such as: runners, parts, purging, etc.) And reports the same in the shifts reports.
Keeps working area clean and organized.
Works together with warehouse personnel to ensure a continuous flow of materials between both warehouses.
Maintains machines, hoppers, gaylors, dryers and scrap containers properly identified.
Performs any work related by warehouse supervisor and/or materials manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Job Experience:
3 months or more as floor attendance laborer. Forklift license required by OSHA.
