The Human Resources Generalist helps to manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The HR Generalist manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, organizational development, training and development, compensation, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), affirmative action and employment law compliance.

 

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the direct labor recruitment process, including recruiting, interviewing, selection and hiring.
  • Manages the temporary workforce by working directly with staffing agencies in relation to all hiring, replacement, time tracking, etc.
  • Conducts and manages new hire orientation and onboarding process for all direct labor associates.
  • Manages the off-boarding process for associates, including exit interviews, appropriate system changes and analysis of data.
  • Point of contact for all associates on questions and issues such as policies, benefit enrollment options, claims processing, etc.
  • Manages the associate relations investigations process when disciplinary action may be warranted, communicating appropriate recommendations.
  • Assists and guides direct labor Supervisors and Team Leaders with the application of Human Resources policies and processes.
  • Assists with coordinating companywide meetings, all associate meetings, open enrollment meetings and Human Resources programs and activities.
  • Coordinates all benefit enrollments s necessary (Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA, 401k, STD/LTD, COBRA).
  • Oversees and ensures consistency in the dire labor hourly performance review process through document revision and distribution, and advising Managers and Supervisors in the writing and delivery.
  • Recommends, revises, interprets and communicates personnel policies.
  • Responsible for integrity of all data regarding Viant Medical associates in systems such as DayForce, etc.
  • Maintains the latest knowledge base of Human Resources legal issues and ensures the organization's adherence to all relevant employment laws/practices.
  • Responsible for monthly HR Metrics, including turnover data.
  • Performs other dues as assigned.

Position Requirements

Knowledge/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, industrial relations, psychology or a related field

Job Experience:

  • 3-5 years' experience working with various roles and areas of Human Resources
  • Experience in payroll processing, staffing/recruitment, benefits administration, performance management systems, associate relations, training, organizational development
