 The Metrology Technician will provide calibration support for all site inspection equipment to ensure valid calibration status, conforming to internal and external requirement’s, and in accordance with applicable Regulatory and Standards requirements for compliance.

 

PURPOSE: We produce medical devices that save and enhance lives! The Calibration Technician plays a critical role by ensuring inspection equipment is ready to meet the challenges to qualify products that save and improve lives. Furthermore, the Calibration tech works with engineers to improve and innovate inspection methods.

 Skills/Competencies

  • CMM programming
  • Calibrate, in line with industry best practices such as ISO 17025, company owned equipment, and as well as customer suppled gaging
  • Repair and service gages as needed
  • Quoting and aiding in design of new gages
  • Coordinate and manage sending and receiving gages from customers/vendors
  • Coordinate and perform collection of gages due for calibration
  • Maintain Gagetrak system
  • Perform risk evaluations

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum Experience: 2-5 years' experience in a regulated manufacturing field
  • Knowledge & Skills: 
    • Understand GD&T, blueprint, and dimensioning methods
    • Experience with a Calibration management system such as, Gagetrack, Indysoft, or a system built in a Microsoft Office suite
    • Experience in use of Inspection Tools and Techniques in line with ISO 17025.
