MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, this position is responsible for the value stream assigned to support the team in their daily process
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership
- Provide leadership and direction to assigned areas of responsibility ensuring quality standards are met and production standards achieved.
- Train and coordinate the activities of associates engaged in production operations.
- Helps establish and drive each area to meet goals/metrics aimed at improvement.
- Leads and promotes continuous improvement activities to improve overall quality levels within the assigned areas of responsibility.
Schedule execution
- Focuses and maintains work schedules related to manufacturing plans including achieving schedule attainment for each area of the role.
- Work to follow job schedules and assign staff to jobs based on training and experience.
Compliance
- Support the implementation of new policies and procedures, and direct team members ensuring complete conformance.
- Ensure that staff follows all processes and instructions as dictated by work orders and quality procedures
Staff management
- Team Lead provides input to the performance appraisal process for those individuals on their team.
- Suggest overtime to management as required supporting incoming material needs and job schedules.
- Ensure employees comply with all safety policies and safe work procedures established by the company
Perform other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Education:
- High School Diploma
Job Experience:
- 5-7 years’ experience in manufacturing. Medical Device manufacturing preferred
- Proven track of added responsibility
Skills/Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well independently and with fellow team members
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Experience using manufacturing measurement devices
- Excellent time management skills.
- Good to excellent vision for detecting visual defects or damage to parts.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to lead a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination
- Extended periods of bending, lifting, and standing
- Significant use of hands
- Occasionally required to lift up to 40 lbs, occasionally more, but will require team lifting or use of a lift assist during these circumstances
- Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment as required including:
- Protective eyewear
- Ear plugs
- Protective gowning (CME Guidelines, Safety Shoes, Apron, Safety Shield)
