MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:  21 years old                      

 

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:  Valid Driver’s License and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old).

 

JOB SUMMARY

Monitor, maintain and repair all laundry equipment as required to ensure production requirements are met for all Mesquite Gaming properties. Maintain a preventative maintenance program to ensure minimal breakdown. Supervise all Laundry equipment maintenance team members.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance Laundry Engineering or Engineering experience required, preferably in the Laundry field (laundry equipment, water systems, and boilers). Must be capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical and plumbing blueprints. Advanced knowledge in all aspects of plant maintenance to include but not limited to electrical, boilers, hydraulics, air compressors, and mechanical equipment. To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform a variety of duties with extreme care and safety, the ability to follow directions and adjust to changing environment conditions, and work in a fast- paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment. Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak in English. Must have basic computer skills.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Repair and maintain proper operation of the Laundry equipment, including but not limited to, boilers and compressors.
  1. Operate all tools and equipment necessary for maintain all equipment within the Laundry facility, including, but not limited to, ancillary parts to maintain the operation of all equipment. 
  1. Must be knowledgeable in hazardous material storage and disposal.
  1. Assure that replacement parts are adequately available to maintain proper operation of all laundry equipment.
  1. Know and follow all safety rules and regulations and how to safely operate all equipment, including all lockout/tag-out, fire safety, and confined space entry.
  1. Hire, lead, train, motivate, schedule, evaluate, coach, and discipline Laundry department maintenance staff members.
  2. Other job related duties assigned or instructed by management.

  • Think and demonstrate quality daily.
  • Be courteous and respectful by assisting others when necessary.
  • Provide anticipatory service to guests and internal customers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion such as twisting, standing, bending, kneeling, frequent walking on concrete surfaces, lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects. Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.  Must posses the ability to push and maneuver a loaded laundry hamper weighing more than three hundred (300) pounds at a time. Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Company appearance standards.

 

WORK ENVIROMENT:

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of an Industrial Laundry setting. Work in a fast-paced, busy, and occasional noisy environment with frequent dirt, dust, and fumes. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated but temperatures can be extreme during summer months.
