LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:  State of Nevada Gaming Permit. Valid Driver’s License, and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old).

 

JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Planning and Analysis Director leads the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis under the direction of the CFO. Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations. Responsible for providing timely, accurate reporting and analytics, offer data-driven insights and recommendations, and will drive operational excellence in the finance function. Reviews analysis results, develops insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction and leads strategic business decisions. This role will collaborate with, support and influence operations leaders around the organization, to drive better understanding of their finances and the impact their decisions have on the overall organization. This individual will also play a key role in the development and administration of our finance technology transformation including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Business Intelligence (BI), and FP&A platforms.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The Financial Planning and Analysis Director must have a minimum 5 years experience in planning, analysis, financial analysis, database management, and/or a minimum of 5 years experience in a senior accounting or finance level position preferably with gaming experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Excellent computer skills are required, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint). Must be able to work independently and exercise sound judgement with financial integrity. Must be extremely well organized, multi-task oriented, with problem-solving abilities and have an aptitude for paying attention to detail. This individual must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of management, including key business stakeholders, executives, and consultants.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Partner closely with the CFO on all budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analyzing efforts to help report and summarize accurate financial information, identify business opportunities, and drive business performance across the organization.

 

  1. Collaborate with, support, and influence operations leaders around the organization to create solutions for their business needs, and to drive better understanding of their finances and the impact their decisions will have on the overall organization.

 

  1. Develop and utilize data-driven analytics, including reports and dashboards, to generate value-added insights and actionable recommendations to drive EBITDA growth and influence KPIs.

 

  1. Evaluate business development opportunities using various ROI measures.

 

  1. Present clear analyses and recommendations to team leaders, and where appropriate, develop materials to support executive review/board meetings for monthly, quarterly, and long-term forecast and results.

 

  1. Lead the acquisition of the business intelligence tools needed for the Financial Planning & Analysis department to succeed.

 

  1. Administration of Financial Reporting & Planning Systems including the creation of business planning models.

 

  1. Support the development, tracking and execution of approved annual CapEx plans.

 

  1. Responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of financial data.

 

  1. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

 

WORK CONDITIONS

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.  This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
