FINANCE CONTROLLER - CB & VR - VARIED SHIFT

STARTING RATE:  D.O.E.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:  21 years old

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:  State of Nevada Gaming Permit, Valid Driver License, and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old).

JOB SUMMARY: 

Provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions.  Ensure company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The position requires a strong background in automated accounting and control systems in addition to excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel.  Must possess strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.  Must have the ability to independently manage multiple tasks.  Must have a college degree with a major in Business, Finance or Accounting; or a minimum 5 years of gaming accounting experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Oversee the daily operations of the finance department.

2. Manage the preparation of the daily, monthly and annual financial reporting. 

3. Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.

4. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.

5. Hire, train, supervise, lead, develop, motivate, schedule, evaluate, coach, and discipline team members.

6. Provide support to management for accounting issues and concerns.

7. Prepare schedules requested for the preparation of tax returns.

8. Verify the accuracy of the data transmitted to the financial reporting systems.

9. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

WORK CONDITIONS: 

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
