JOB SUMMARY:
The Beverage Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the beverage outlets and staff for all Mesquite Gaming properties.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful Beverage Supervisor will have strong attention to detail and past experience in beverage and/or food operations. This supervisor will be able to engage in multiple projects at a time, following time lines and quality expectations of the highest degree. Must have conflict resolution and problem solving skills. This supervisor must be able to make “on the spot” decisions in a fast paced work environment. Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. This supervisor must have excellent communication and leadership skills. Must be customer service and teamwork oriented. Self motivated and the ability to work well under stressful situations. Must have the ability to travel between properties as the needs of the business dictate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Ensure service improvement projects are implemented.
2. Train, develop, lead, motivate, and coach employees.
3. Responsible for meeting Health and Safety Regulations, company guidelines, service standards, labor standards, and product quality within all areas of the beverage department. Observe all traffic laws and rules when traveling between properties while on duty, including but limited to, observing traffic speed limits.
4. Responsible for completing inventory for all bar and beverage storage.
5. Create and/or modify schedules for beverage staff when needed.
6. Order all beverage stock and supplies when needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as kitchens, restaurants, bars, coolers, offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, residences and commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with kitchen equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire, health and safety regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves exposure to second hand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
