At the Hampton Inn Verona at Turning Stone, the role of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to collaborate directly with Hotel and Department Managers to ensure team is engaged and challenged on a daily basis to assist with employee retention.  In the event the Department Manager is not on property, the Housekeeping Supervisor assumes the role to oversee the housekeeping department.  The Housekeeping Supervisor is expected to fill in as needed throughout the department with the following responsibilities:

 

·         Use checklists to ensure that cleanliness and condition of each assigned area meets designated standards.

·         Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.

·         Request preventative maintenance or non-urgent repairs using appropriate method. 

·         Contact other departments directly for urgent repairs.

·         Document and report outstanding issues.

·         Respond promptly to requests from guests or Front Desk achieving standards for deliveries as defined by Hilton Worldwide. 

·         Assist management in training, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model.

·         Inspect all rooms for proper standards and cleanliness based on Brand Standards Audit.

·         Model, Inspire and Deliver standards of service as defined by Hilton Worldwide.

·         Cover shifts and responsibilities in the event of a call out or unexpected increase in daily workload, i.e. taking a small board to assist prior to checking room, cleaning public areas if no houseperson is on shift, larger number of checkouts than forecasted.

·         Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.

·         Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional.

·         Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.

·         Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.

·         Support team to reach common goals.

·         Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

·         Speak with others using clear and professional language.

·         Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.

·         Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 45 pounds without assistance and in excess of 45 pounds with assistance.

·         Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery

·         Visually verify and interpret written documents.

·         Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period or high frequency across an entire work shift.

·         Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors and Hotel Management.

 

 

Salary Range: $18-$21 per hour.
