Responsible for managing all facets of the housekeeping department ensuring high levels of guest service and satisfaction.

Knowledge/Training:
|
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 year's experience in housekeeping and management
- Degree in business or hotel management desirable
- Fluent English, read and write required
- Voluntary certification is helpful (IEHA, REH, CEH)
- Spanish is preferred
- Active management, strong leadership, excellent communication and organizational skills as well as commitment to excellence and training skills are required

Essential Tasks:
|
- Counsel staff, assist supervisors, housekeepers and housemen on their shift and ensure quality control of the rooms
- Sound management and coordination of daily operations of the department
- Providing support and guidance to fellow personnel and effectively communicate with all staff to ensure a successful and effective operation ending in a positive guest experience while maintaining the company’s standard for excellence
- Maintains Brand cleanliness standards for both rooms and public areas and inspects them to ensure that standards are met
- Plans work schedules and room assignments with minimum disruption to guests
- Empowers hotel staff to deliver great guest service by encouraging responsiveness to guest needs
- Meets or exceeds hotel guest satisfaction measures
- Use ongoing safety training to minimize workers’ compensation claims
- Anticipate revenue/cost problems in department
- Track financial and operating information on ongoing basis to adjust plans, labor and other costs
- Order and buy cleaning supplies, linens and chemicals
- Maintain inventory of supplies
- Must update a Performance Agreement and Action Plan annually
