Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description:

Supervises the work activities of the housekeepers & housemen to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment.

Typical Work Conditions:

Entire hotel

Equipment Used:

Carts, vacuum, wet and dry mops, various cleaners and cleaning tools but not limited to the above equipment.

Knowledge/Training:

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2^nd language desirable
• 3 years minimum housekeeping experience required.

Essential Tasks:

• Inspects rooms daily for cleanliness, neatness, appearance and wear and tear.
• Reports needed repairs according to procedures to supervisor and/or maintenance.
• Works closely with engineering and front office on out-of-order rooms
• To assist in the development and implementation of department programs, training, scheduling, supervision of housekeeping employees
• Reports lost and found articles to supervisor immediately, mails or properly stores items.
• Responsible for picking up “over” rooms at times when it becomes necessary.
