Landscape Architect III - Hybrid
Full-time, Hourly
Hourly Pay Range: $32.25 - $41.03 ($67,080- $ 85,342.4)

Job Summary -
Responsible for planning, design, construction, and inspection of parks and related facilities such as: golf courses, playgrounds, comfort stations, trails, dog exercise areas, sports courts and fields, and similar amenities. Prepare and participate in long-range planning efforts including comprehensive and master plans as well as capital budget strategies. Ensure quality service and product delivery.
Job Responsibilities -
- Planning and Design - Lead the design and construction of parks and facilities; prepare and review plans, drawings, specifications, and estimates; define scopes; design parameters; evaluate land transactions; and attend and lead public hearings and informational meetings.
- Park Planning - Assist in capital and long-range planning; advance the implementation of plans, policies, and procedures; and analyze systemwide assets using geographic information systems.
- Project Management - Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with approved design and budget. Prepare narratives, statistical and legislative reports, permits, grants, easements, and exhibits.
- Special Assignments and Projects - Participate on special project teams. Drive community outreach efforts, marketing and communication efforts.
- Use of Vehicles, Tools and Equipment – Operate vehicles, hand tools, computers, and general office equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education, License/Certification and Experience
- Current resident of Wisconsin
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architect required.
- Five (5) years or more work experience in Landscape Architecture or or experience in related/relevant field is required.
- Valid Driver’s License required and must be maintained throughout incumbency.
License/Certification:
- State of Wisconsin Licensed Landscape Architect required.
- GIS (Geographic Information System) experience preferred.
- Previous Construction Management work experience preferred.
- Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification preferred.
