Certified Interpreter Bilingual/Spanish

Combined Courts

Hourly Pay Rate: $25.93 - $29.89

Job Summary: Under general supervision, interpret testimony for a variety of proceeding before the court as required by law for all court proceedings.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpretive and translation services for court proceedings for defendants, victims, or witnesses. Providing interpreter and translation services during proceedings before the court.
  • Provide interpretive services for external agencies to perform psychological evaluations for law enforcement agencies, the Public Defender's Office, and the District Attorney's Office.
  • Translate various court related documents including letters, legal documents, and other forms as needed.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Wisconsin Resident
  • Wisconsin Driver's License
  • One year of experience working as a State Certified Court Interpreter
  • State of Wisconsin Certification as a Spanish/English Interpreter
