Motivate is looking for Operations Managers to oversee a large team of regular and seasonal employees for bike fleet operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in bike sharing operations and expansion throughout the greater New York City area. Day and overnight shift opportunities available.

About the Role

  • Supervise daily operations to optimize inspection and repairs; ensure all operations are carried out per Motivate standards
  • Lead a supervisory team who oversees union bike mechanics, full cycle employee oversight and engagement
  • Manage an inventory system for bicycle parts; work directly with supply chain managers to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner  
  • Assist in creating and implementing processes to further increase efficiency in obtaining established goals and team management strategies 
  • Follow safe work practices and help to champion a safe working environment

About You

  • You have 2+ years of experience successfully managing a large people-centric operation; distribution, repair/service center, warehousing, or logistics preferred; Undergraduate degree in Business or related preferred
  • You are an experience manager who leads by example and understands how to best motivate/encourage your team while completing all managerial activities
  • You are a self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through, think critically, and apply analytical problem solving  with a high degree of judgment
  • You are technology proficient: MS Office, Slack, Tableau and other data, planning, and communications software
