Document Control Specialist
SUMMARY: The Document Control Specialist will support the company with compliance and ongoing conformance to established quality assurance systems and processes. This position is responsible for the review and maintenance of the documentation and tasks related to purchasing and inventory management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for communication of serialized product creation to internal distribution recipients
- Update inventory status of first article inspections (FAI’S)
- Maintain BETA and FAI status flag for pre-release of shipment request
- Collaborate across the Operations organization to capture and document Standard Operating Procedures for the manufacturing of each product, including all steps of the manufacturing process from raw materials through to packaging
- Verification Of Scanned QAs on the Server
- Run various reports daily\weekly for purchasing, inventory control, document control and manufacturing
- Update Work Instructions as required
- Perform inventory cycle counts as needed
- Maintain records and documentation, update work-in-process cycle count results
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine resolution; communicate inventory errors to appropriate parties
- Backup to Operations Specialist and Senior Document Control Specialist
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Maintain the quality system standards
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills; ability to seek and ask questions
- Detail oriented and ability to prioritize tasks; ability to read assembly drawings and BOMs
- Ability to work independently, in teams, and collaborate with other departments
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in manufacturing support function
- Familiar with ERP systems, preferably Powershift or Epicor
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Lifting requirements up to 40 pounds
- Requires standing, sitting, and walking for periods of time
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Minimal noise.
