Opportunities:

Mustang Cat is proud to be a host company partner with Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) as part of a nationwide initiative through the Chamber of Commerce. Offered in a 3-times/year cohort and individual fellowship format, the 12-week program is held Monday through Thursday at host companies (Fridays are reserved for military duties and professional development). Mustang Cat provides eligible transitioning military members and military spouses with fellowship opportunities across the company based on the needs of the business. This program provides professional growth and development of corporate skills and knowledge through mentorship, instructor-led and computer-based learning, and on-the-job training preparing participants for a rewarding career with Mustang Cat.

 

Through this program, we are actively looking to fill positions in Parts/Inventory, Customer Service/Administrative, Inside and Outside Sales, Class A CDL Drivers, and Service Operations.

  • Service members participating in this DOD SkillBridge program will continue receiving their military compensation and benefits, while Mustang Cat provides the civilian training and work experience.

Eligibility:

  • Must be within 180 days of transition from military service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard) at the start of the program
  • Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to start of internship
  • Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
    • Will accept equivalent years of experience in lieu of education
  • Open to all qualified transitioning active-duty U.S. service members, both officer and enlisted, of any rank and branch

 

 

Position requirements:

  • Job-specific
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment or oil & gas industry helpful
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, safety-oriented, customer first mentality, team-focused
  • Basic-to-advanced computer skills
  • Mechanical aptitude helpful
  • Some opportunities may require bachelor’s degree
