Mustang Cat is looking for a Heavy Equipment Inspector to identify, document, and communicate all machinery operational problems, safety concerns, and repair deficiencies.

Heavy Equipment Inspector Position Responsibilities:

• Provide an extreme level of attention to detail and focus on all given tasks
• Check and inspect equipment to ensure all approved repairs have been made, and machine is safe and fully operational
• Inspect, test, and operate equipment to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation
• Check electrical assemblies and wiring for proper connections and routing
• Verify machine fluid levels meet manufacturer’s specifications
• Verify grease points have been lubricated
• Document inspection results by completing both paper and electronic reports
• Notify appropriate people/shops of equipment problems and repair deficiencies
• Practice good housekeeping, property accountability control, and safety at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives
• Follow all company rules and policies
• Additional tasks as assigned

Heavy Equipment Inspector Position Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Experience working on construction machinery
• Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment
• Valid driver's license
• Basic math skills
• High technical aptitude
• Experience building hydraulic hoses is helpful

Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic levels and compensation rates are determined by skill set, knowledge, and experience.
