Accountabilities will include Broker, Government Program, NYSoH and other Sales Administrative duties. Key resource in managing MVP’s private and public exchange business, coordinating annual State(s) RFP(s), renewal and implementation processes for new and existing partnerships for both private and public exchange platforms.  Daily duties include Broker Administration, working with MVP’s broker partners, and Tracking all learning data and reporting for MVP’s Retail Outreach Department.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years’ experience in health insurance / self-funded benefits, insurance or health care setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of working experience and education required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

 

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, organizational, telephone, presentation, and sales skills required.
  • Good computer skills (MS Office, Access, Excel and Sales CRMs)
  • Ability to interact and effectively communicate with persons at all levels within MVP and other businesses.
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills.
  • Project experience including project tracking and reporting required.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing data analysis and project coordination required. 
  • Prior health insurance sales, customer service or operations experience strongly preferred. 
  • A team player with high level of dedication to completing timely excellent work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point required. Access and Visio preferred.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment. Highly self-motivated and directed with proven ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment. 
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated ability to formulate, build consensus and execute on ideas. 
  • Manages a very busy workload, multi-tasks and works well under pressure

 

Professional Responsibilities:

 

Learning/Certification Data Tracking, Reporting, and Communications Support

  • Track all learning data and reports including: NYSoH contact list report, CAC recertification programming for positions held in the CCC and Retail Outreach.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of organization. 
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word computer skills.
  • Serving as a key resource in managing MVP’s private and public exchange business, the selected individual will: Coordinate annual State(s) RFP(s), renewal and implementation processes for new and existing partnerships for both private and public exchange platforms; Work closely with the Exchange Manager pre, during and post-implementation to ensure results meet our operational and service performance expectations; Serve as liaison to Sales/Account Management staff and other operational teams on new business and renewal opportunities related to exchange specific platforms; Represent MVP Exchange Team in internal and external meetings; As a key knowledge source, provide education and consultation on MVP exchange business; Perform monthly enrollment reconciliations and update membership reports; Monitor websites and emails from regulators and information related to Exchanges and work with appropriate internal departments; Attend meetings of PIT, NYSOH, VHC Leadership etc;. Coordinate NYS submissions of materials; Act as resource for internal teams related to exchange questions; Address routine calls on operational questions, inquires on specific customers, or ACA rules; Monitor State and CMS regulations for updates/additions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the broker database, quoting tool and commissions systems including documentation and reporting. 
  • Administer the commission plan and complete monthly commission payment reporting to finance department.
  • Participate as team member for department/company projects related to broker administration systems development. Act as resource for development of process improvements related to broker administration. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Hybrid to Schenectady, NY (in office two days per week)
