Facilities Assistant – Irondequoit Campus

St. Ann’s Community is seeking a Facilities Assistant for the Chapel Oaks Independent Living Facility located on the Portland Campus in Irondequoit. The focus of this position is to ensure the safety and security of Chapel Oaks residents, staff, and physical assets and to help maintain the Chapel Oaks community center and perform minor emergency maintenance.

Job Description:

  • Observes any safety hazards or problems and reports these situations promptly
  • Makes periodic patrol tours throughout Chapel Oaks
  • Assists in coordinating emergency responses
  • Familiarizes and learns operation of all pertinent equipment such as CCTV cameras, ID systems, alarm panels, fire equipment and elevator operations among others.
  • Performs duties such as vacuuming rugs and moving furniture, sweeping and mopping
  • Cleaning of fixtures in laboratories and supplying paper goods in Community Center
  • Spot treating and shampooing rugs in Community Center
  • Separating and removing trash for compacting and disposal
  • Assists in performing minor maintenance
  • Assist in set ups and take downs for special events
  • Relieves the Receptionist at 5PM daily
  • Assists with reports, training, surveys, inspections, investigations etc.

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Minimum of 6 months related experience or training
