The major duties of this job involve connecting quickly with people in a poised, convincing, and enthusiastic way. This job will entail working at an extremely fast pace and will require working cooperatively with and through people in order to complete tasks and will be integral in motivating others. The job requires team or collaborative work within the organization and will be integral in bringing out the best in others. This job will require a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to get things done correctly, with emphasis on working with and through people in the process. Understanding people well and using that understanding effectively in motivating and persuading others to act, will be an important aspect of the job. It is important in this job for goals to be set and reached, and for tasks to be completed in a timely manner. Decisions will many times have to be made under pressure and will generally need the ideas and advice of others. Details will need to be handled quickly and accurately but will not be a repetitive part of the job. Many tasks in this job may entail selling or persuading others, and/or may entail training others in some capacity. This job will involve controlling all aspects of tasks, from the initiation, through the process and through to completion.


The Private Bank Relationship Associateis responsible for providing support for our Private Bank team and maintaining positive relationships with a select group of our affluent clients.  You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including; administrative support for Private Bank Relationship Manager(s), provide exceptional client service to existing and potential Private Bank clients by demonstrating a high level of professionalism, proactive communication and coordinating assigned client financial needs through proactive and disciplined approach that reaches across multiple lines of business and service/support teams.


All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.


Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree inBusiness Administrationor 2 years’ experience in related field is preferred.
  • Previous deposit operations and customer-faced work experience is preferred.
  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and NBH's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Desired Qualifications: To be considered an ideal candidate, you should possess some of the following qualifications:

  • Previous Banking experience and exceptional Client Services experience.
  • Bilingual language skills

  • Specialized competencies including basics of deposit operations, wealth management, and, as well as consumer commercial and mortgage credit types and approaches.
  • Specialized competencies in delivery of deposit, loan and other banking products and services.
  • Strong financial acumen and conceptual understanding of risk management.
  • Highly effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated ability to speak effectively to internal and external clients.
  • Strong professional and etiquette behaviors.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.
  • Must be passionate about proactive relationship building of new business from existing clients and referrals.  
  • Proficient at working with multiple computer and Microsoft Office software applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Ability to learn various systems.
  • Cooperates and works collaboratively toward solutions that generally benefit all involved parties; works cooperatively with others to accomplish company objectives.
  • Promotes and generates cooperation among one’s peers to achieve a collective outcome; fosters the development of a common vision and fully participates in creating a unified team that gets results.

Work Environment:

  • Professional setting.
  • May be requested to work evenings and weekends for special program events.
  • Private Banker to be available during working hours to be established by Manager
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel is required on an as needed basis to exceed the expectations of the client.
  • Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold  arms overhead,  capable of standing for long periods of time, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
