New Jersey Resources is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the NJR Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The position is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the CEO’s office operations and activities. The Executive Assistant is also responsible for the CEO’s administrative functions which include; a wide variety of confidential matters and time-sensitive materials; routine and advanced correspondence, including letters, memoranda, and reports; organizing and managing an ever-changing business calendar and complex schedule, including travel arrangements and expense reporting; interacting with a diverse range of internal and external constituencies, including the Board of Directors, regulators, shareowners, members of the financial community, and other stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:
•    Proactively identify the needs of the CEO, and larger organization, and manage priorities and deliverables. Serve as “gatekeeper” to the CEO and prioritizing issues and items as needed.
•    Plan and direct all administrative and operational activities for the CEO.
•    Manage the CEO’s daily calendar and schedule, with constant proactive communication and follow-up.
•    Attend meetings and provide follow-up support. Capture key actions and next steps and track these tasks to completion with an achievable timeline.  
•    Provide leadership and support as needed, including occasional special projects.
•    Proactively brief the CEO about upcoming schedule and commitments, including all relevant information and background material.
•    Assist the CEO, and NJR team, with preparation for Board meetings, including the ownership and preparation of associated documents and materials.  Includes managing all Board documents and system posting to meet deadlines.
•    Represent the CEO’s office with daily communication activities and regular interaction with the NJR Board of Directors, NJR Officers and employees, as well as outside regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.
•    Prioritize and handle internal and external communications, including email and the creation of external materials for CEO’s use.
•     Provide assistance to team members, including other executive administrative assistants when needed.
•    Assist with planning, set-up, organization and seamless orchestration of small to large-scale events.

Position Requirements:
•    Bachelor’s degree preferred 
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting senior executives and Board of Directors
•    Experience coordinating Board meetings
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented, as well as strong proofreading skills
•    Extensive knowledge and usage of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
•    Strong ability to multi-task, plan, organize and prioritize a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
•    Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team, to produce successful results
•    Excellent interpersonal skills, time management skills and executive presence
•    Ability to plan and manage travel and expense details 
•    Exercise sound judgment and professionalism when making decisions
•    Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and build trust with the CEO and the Board of Directors
•    Willingness to work evenings and weekends, as business need dictates
