Utility I

Job Summary:

 

This role will organize our packaging area.  Assist in the assembly area(s) with work materials, bill of material, and waste through the necessary production routes; to ensure desired identification of work flow.  Must ensure that all finished product(s) are properly identified, labeled, and placed onto pallet(s) when relocating to warehouse.

 

What you will do:

 

  • Organize work materials/bill of material on floor and work stations through the necessary production router; to effectively ensure a safe and desired work flow.
  • Stage all finished, recycled, and returned materials to the warehouse when production run is complete.  Properly label raw materials to be returned to warehouse.
  • Assist operators and sewers with any verification of specifications of product.
  • Ensure that proper box components for material to be used are accurate on production order.  Verify consumption on the actual work order.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area throughout the day and at end of shift.
  • Ensure that all materials (finished or in WIP), and material containers are properly identified by their AX System - SKU number.
  • Assist sewers and operators with retrieving materials before beginning process flow of bags to be sewn.
  • Properly print and attach computer generated ID label for each box completed.
  • Comply with Menardi safety policies and rules. 
  • Comply with ISO process and procedures to maintain ISO certification.
  • Other duties as assigned.

We believe you have:

Your Experience & Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • One year of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment. 
  • Forklift Certification (Note that all hires must go through in-house training for a forklift license.)
