Position Summary:
The Lunch and Hallway Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the morning arrival of students, the lunchroom during all lunch periods, and hallways during, and between, student lunch periods. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the safety and security of the lunchroom, lunchroom hallways, and lunchroom bathrooms as well as the students during the morning arrival and their assigned lunch period. They will be required to enforce all school policies and procedures and will work in conjunction with an assigned teacher moderator and the Assistant Principal for Student Services. The hours of this position will be 6:00 am – 2:00 pm each day school is in session.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during morning arrival
- Supervise students during their assigned lunch period.
- Oversee lunch line to ensure proper protocols being followed.
- Monitor hallways and bathrooms to ensure students are safe and accounted for
- Perform all safety and security drills while following the assigned Emergency Action Plan.
- Monitor the cafeteria, hallways, and bathrooms during “period changes” ensuring all school protocols are being followed.
- Direct students, using our digital hall pass system, to any assigned appointments, tutoring, or guidance meetings.
- Complete lunch period announcements daily.
- Complete prayer before each lunch period daily.
- Monitor hallways before and after lunch periods as requested.
- Maintain a good working relationship with Administration, Faculty, and Staff, as well as the students and families of Father Judge High School.
- Other duties as assigned by the APSS and Principal.
Qualifications: (Education/Training and Experience Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous school experience (preferred)
- Previous experience in customer service
- Previous experience in supervisory roles
- Previous experience in safety and security roles
Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to enforce and follow standard operating procedures effectively and efficiently.
- Strong motivation skills.
- Ability to work productively and positively with staff & students.
- Ability to work autonomously without extensive oversight or direction and work independently.
Lunch and Hallway Supervisor is a 10-month, full-time position.
