Job Overview

    • In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a hands on training program for our maintenance teams. You will work closely with our staff to identify training needs, create written and on-the-job training materials and provide hands-on instruction. Your expertise will help us maintain high standards of safety and efficiency in our maintenance activities. You will be responsible for improving the overall maintenance capabilities for our teammates so they can be more efficient and productive in their roles.
    • In this role you also will work closely with the Planner and Maintenance Supervisors to inspect equipment and enter work orders from those inspections.
    • In this role you will certify that Teammates have been fully trained to safely perform certain mechanical tasks and possess certain mechanical skills. This may include developing a program to provide independent verification of those skills when appropriate.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

    • Conducting training sessions and instructing in real time during ongoing maintenance activities on troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

                                              Examples – tracking specific conveyors and elevator belts, changing and setting bearings, using alignment tools, setting proper drive belt tensioning techniques, manually balancing a fan, conducting a specific repair on the Gamma                                                      machine, finding problematic and repairing damaged baghouse poppers, properly inspecting parts and systems for repair work order generation.

    • Instructing in real time both Operators and Technicians on how to properly CLEAN, INSPECT AND LUBRICATE equipment. Notify both Production and Maintenance Leadership when Operators are not performing basic CIL responsibilities.
    • Follow in the field technicians who are assigned work orders to insure appropriate repairs are conducted and completed. When deficiencies are found – work with the Technicians and Supervisors to insure training is administered and documented to improve performance.

 

    • Responsible for soliciting and hosting training events with Vendors and other external “Experts” to help technicians further develop.
    • Providing guidance on how to read work orders and prepare for work order completion by kitting and planning.
    • Provide training on the importance of parts checkout and maintaining appropriate inventory levels by following established procedures.
    • Establishing and maintaining large tool cribs
    • Acting as company representative on certain contracted maintenance activities

                                          Example: Compresser Routine and Non Routine Maintenance Contractor

 

Qualifications:

    • Skill set and hands on experience in a broad spectrum of Mechanical Maintenance systems for troubleshooting and repair
    • Working knowledge with an ERP Manufacturing systems and/or CMMS module
    • Demonstrated work experience on appropriate equipment types in plant
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in and/or training in a manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge in Process Industry and experience in a process manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Willingness to coach and teach teammates to perform excellent repairs
    • Possess core values of Honesty and Integrity.
