As the Senior Accountant at Oki Golf, your role is to complete accurate and timely financial statements for all Oki Golf properties. You will create and import month-end journal entries, reconcile GL accounts/reports and review month-end Food & Beverage (F&B) inventory schedules. You will perform a variety of tasks in multiple areas including general ledger, revenue, expenses, F&B inventory, and accounts payable functions. Strong bank reconciliation skills are a must, as we have multiple properties with several different payment systems. You will collaborate and coordinate with team members and others to be highly productive and meet deadlines. In addition to regular hourly wage, this position is eligible for an annual bonus equal to 5% of total yearly salary.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Prepare and deliver daily cash flow reports to management
  • Reconcile bank statements for multiple properties/payment systems
  • Process, solve and respond to credit card disputes in a timely manner
  • Review F&B inventory schedules with a critical eye from properties and prepare journal entries accordingly
  • Prepare, file and pay the company's monthly Washington State Dept. of Revenue Excise Tax Return and accrue B&O Tax.
  • Prepare weekly banking ZBA journal entries, upload weekly check-run file to the bank, order bank supplies and create deposit journal entries
  • Create and import month-end journal entries including prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, credit card fee, company credit card transactions, bank/fintech fees and other expenses.
  • Review and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts - ensuring all amounts are supported with proper documentation
  • Prepare and file annual Form 1099
  • Assist with development of processes and procedures to strive for continued improvement within the Accounting department and company
  • Provide ad hoc reports and support other team members as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience - working as part of an accounting team responsible for financial statement preparation.
  • Detail oriented, accurate, and analytical.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify issues and assist in upgrading and optimizing accounting processes, as well as updating internal document procedures in an understandable and easy-to-follow manner.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards related to revenue recognition, inventory, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Proficient with MS Office - experience designing and maintaining intermediate Excel spreadsheets (Sumifs function, pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, etc.) required.
  • Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions by assessing relevant information and exercising critical thinking to understand the impact and implications and provide feedback on outcomes.
  • Work well with others within and across teams to solve problems.
  • High concern for detail and accuracy.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to analyze problems and make decisions to initiate corrective action or resolution.
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal and external parties in a clear, concise, and friendly manner.

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

  • Rate of pay range: $28.84 - $31.25 per hour ($60,000-$65,000 per year)
  • Eligible for annual bonus equal to 5% of yearly salary amount ($3,000-$3,250)
  • Eligible for overtime
