The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, corporate credit card reconciliations, and various other transactional issues.


Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and prepare all invoices on a day-to-day basis, matching PO’s and obtaining approvals as required.
  • Manage and verify all expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain and update all Accounts Payable data to ensure accuracy to the general ledger.
  • Match invoices to checks, obtain authorized signatures and distribute accordingly.
  • Audit and process credit cards.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies.
  • Reconcile spreadsheets.
  • Assist in month-end closing.
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Effectively communicate with vendors.
  • Ensure vendors receive 1099.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.



  • High School Diploma required; Business degree preferred.
  • Basic accounting principles.
  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word, 10 Key by touch.
  • Dynamics 365 experience a plus.
  • SAP Concur Invoicing experience a plus.
  • Must have strong work ethics.
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter.
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures.
  • Ensuring bills and payroll requests are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures.
  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Ability to interact with management, coworkers, and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
