Position Summary: 

The primary job responsibilities of this position is to supervise the E-Commerce warehouse activities for the Atlanta Fulfillment Center. Supervises the E-Commerce process ensuring the receipt, coordination, and safety of goods coming through the warehouse. Also ensures that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities. Work closely with the customer E-Commerce Department and team in receiving daily orders/shipments and proper inventory procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others over a 1 shift possibly 2 shift or alternate shift operation.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude, as well as the ability to work independently is required.

Principle Accountabilities: 

  • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Ensures safety programs are followed and ensures a safe work environment is present.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Completes E-Commerce daily targets following warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Overall responsibility for effectiveness of shipping and receiving functions.
  • Maintains warehouse staff performance results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains communication with the customers and third-party vendors.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Participates in the AFC Lead Team meetings
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe work area in warehouse
  • Know and follow policies and procedures of the company, share information that would benefit other members of the team and find ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.

Decision Making:

The Supervisor - Fulfillment is expected to foster a positive work environment for the production/line staff when serving customers and other internal departments.  The Supervisor- Fulfillment is required to make decisions regarding employee challenges, quality of product and process, within the parameters of PCAs business standards.   This position is expected to model standards of professionalism and provide direction and guidance to direct reports.  The Supervisor Fulfillment is expected to exercise solid judgment in dealing with employee concerns, interactions with internal departments, and administer the department’s resources for the maximum return.  This position provides direct oversight of employees, approves time records, communicates and enforces company policy.  Relative to Production, engages in employee development activities, makes recommendations on employee hire, promotion, compensation, and disciplinary action. This position is expected to consult with Managers on issues that become highly escalated or may have substantial impact on business or operations.

Interactions:

Internally, the Supervisor Fulfillment interacts with co-workers from all areas of the company including scheduling, shipping, customer service, production, management, operations, human resources, staffing agency employees and representatives, etc. The Supervisor Fulfillment is expected to develop solid working relationships with these departments to promote customer service and ensure positive communication efforts.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years in warehouse supervision or E-commerce
  • Must possess 4-7 years of experience in the warehouse environment
  • Inventory management experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience supervising
  • Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft office
  • Forklift experience must be willing to train and run forklift, if neededPreferred Requirements
  • Knowledge of WMS Systems (CIMs)
  • Previous experience in warehouse of fulfillment industry
  • Experience with eCommerce fulfillment
