Preconstruction Estimator
Make an Impact
As a Preconstruction Estimator at Progressive Companies, you will manage the entire bidding process from project assessment to bid submission. You will coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure bid compliance, accuracy, and quality. This role requires a high level of detail, communication skills, and knowledge of commercial construction bidding and estimating.
Deliver Results
- Review and understand bid documents and specifications.
- Create and validate bid scopes and quantity takeoffs.
- Procure and coordinate subcontractor quotes for bids.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and client-specific requirements.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of bid submissions, deadlines, and outcomes.
- Assist in business license procurement for municipalities.
- Support Project Managers during prebid meetings and compile bid exceptions.
- Prepare conceptual estimates for budgeting purposes.
- Develop schematic and design development estimates.
- Provide estimating information to assist design teams in staying within client budgets.
- Lead estimating meetings to communicate design and cost ideas effectively.
- Assist with value engineering to reduce project costs and time constraints.
