Operational TPA Oversight Analyst

This role will have responsibility for TPA Oversight of new business, service and the policies, procedures and strategies required for efficient administration of annuity policies. The role also supports both discretionary and production support related to projects with analysis, requirements, and testing. Successful incumbent will partner closely with operational teams, product, compliance, marketing, and key vendor partners.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the establishment of policies, procedures and related to the efficient administration of annuity policies
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of annuities by monitoring service standards and work with Annuity Operations TPA Oversight Manager to adjust workflows and resources to meet performance
  • Drives continual improvement of the Customer Experience leveraging effective quality and audit controls
  • Analyzes system problems and customer impact of business processes and develops recommendations for remediation and customer communication
  • Assist in the handling of exceptions, escalations and complicated technical cases while weighing the company philosophy, compliance, business risks, tax and regulatory ramifications and administrative costs
  • Supports special projects and system enhancements providing the Annuity Operations TPA Oversight Manager with information needed to include detailed subject matter expertise, research, and analysis
  • Aids management with creating efficient process flows and identifying areas where cycle time reduction potential exists
  • Analyzes data to create controls and reporting to ensure effective TPA oversight protocols are in place
  • Analyze trends and conduct root cause analysis

Education and/or Experience and Skills:

  • 1-3 years of experience in annuities and TPA oversight management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of annuity operations and process improvement along with strong business acumen and the ability to translate business plans into actionable solutions
  • Knowledge of annuity products; fixed, indexed and variable
  • Experience with risk management (audit, regulatory, legal, etc.)
  • Experience analyzing, measuring and evaluating workflows
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively interact/interface with external parties – agents, distributors, customers, and vendors
  • Utilize strong critical thinking skills to effectively problem solve
  • Skills must include being self-motivated with ability to show great initiative individually
  • Ability to work in a complex and innovative environment
