Purpose

Successfully lead various building projects from concept to realization with reporting to higher management and focus on path forward towards industry 4.0 standards and advanced analytics modeling.  Ensure that the company’s interests are properly being reflected in all decision steps. Communicate with diverse teams, manage budgets, and navigate the complexities of construction projects. Ensure design meets all safety standards, regulations, codes, and legal requirements.

 

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

The Civil, Structural and Architectural Engineer is ultimately responsible for managing the scope of projects on behalf of the partners and ensuring that it is delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

 

General Policy:   

  1. Setting up company standards on civil, structural, and architectural work
  2. Constructability Plans for various projects
  3. Commitment to and support of the Site EHS guidelines.
  4. Building design and constructability reviews
  5. Responsible for completion and timely implementation of constructability action into the design of the projects.
  6. Develop execution strategy on civil, structural, and architectural related aspects.
  7. Construction layout and realization prior to site activities
  8. Construction readiness review (Hold point for start site activities)
  9. Logistically plan personnel, traffic, cranage and material warehousing.

 

Essential Functions:

  1. Help in producing detailed drawings and determining project viability. 
  2. Plan, design, and supervise the construction and maintenance of building infrastructure projects.
  3. Ensure structures can withstand stresses and pressure imposed by the environment.
  4. Calculate stability, strength, and rigidity and make sure the right materials are used in building a plant.
  5. Prepare and review plans and check construction for conformance with standards and specifications.
  6. Investigate, prepare, and present technical reports and presentations both within the city and in public meetings, if applicable.
  7. Analyzing building behavior over time and delivering progress reports. 
  8. Ensure projects meet legal, environmental, and health and safety standards.
  9. Using computer module simulations to predict how structure would act under varying conditions, as like high winds, etc.
  10. Assisting team members with project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
  11. Reading, interpreting, and explaining complex technical documents.
  12. Follow all company Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
  13. Uphold the company Code of Conduct Standards.
  14. Travel to all current and future sites.
  15. Other duties as assigned by Senior Special Projects Engineer and Global Projects Director.

 

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in civil and structural Engineering.
  2. At lead 5 years of experience in civil, structural, and architectural aspects of various projects.
  3. Experience in CAD, and  2D and 3D drafts work.
  4. Analytical, leadership and conceptualizing skills.
  5. Excellent communicator with interpersonal impact (influencing and persuading), customer oriented (departments as well as internal customers) and decisive.
  6. Focus on results and strive for continuous improvement.
  7. Exemplary behavior towards ethics and integrity.
  8. Team worker, flexible and eager to collaborate.

Work Environment / Conditions

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience.

  1. Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
  2. Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  3. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
  4. All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.
