Objective / Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is for the overall quality management of the facility.  Quality management includes assisting with planning, coordinating, and directing the quality program, which is designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of the processes consistent with established standards. Additionally, quality management includes the measurement of customer service and continual improvement.

 

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.                   

 

Training:

  • Develop and update new and current training programs to stay compliant with all Company and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual facility-wide training for all associates to ensure compliance of the ISO 9001 standard.
  • Instruct others in continuous process improvements, including the use of carious problem solving and productivity techniques such as process mapping and time management.
  • Interpret quality philosophy to personnel within the facility.
  • Review completed training records and maintain a training matrix.

 

Quality Compliance:

  • Assist with formulating and maintaining quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
  • Perform internal process audits and proficiency audits.
  • Perform all administrative duties related to the total quality management system and ISO processes.
  • Compile customer survey results unless otherwise directed by Senior Management.
  • Filing and other clerical duties.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.

 

Communication:

  • Update and distribute controlled documents.
  • Maintain and update the Internal Audit Schedule.
  • Prepare and distribute updates monthly for facility quality objectives and initiatives.
  • Conduct quarterly Management Review meetings and report minutes to local and corporate management.
  • Keep management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
  • Prepare and present statistical information to the management team (including but not limited to feedback from “Toolbox Meetings”, Quality Objectives, Risk & Opportunity, Corrective Actions, etc.).

 

Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications

  1. Education:
    1. Associate degree or related training equivalent - required
    2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in similar title (with ISO 9001) and scope of responsibility – preferred
  2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint) and a capability to learn basic systems
  3. Familiarity with process mapping and basic quality processes preferred
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  5. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures and work instructions.
  6. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  7. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and other employees of the organization.
  8. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
  9. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  10. Ability to manage time, organize, and set priorities
  11. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Work Environment / Conditions

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience, and therefore must be adaptable to.

  1. Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
  2. Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment around moving machinery.
  3. Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
  4. All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Supervisor/HR immediately.

  1. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to communicate verbally, read, and comprehend information, type on a consistent and daily basis.
  2. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel by foot, golf cart, or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting, and standing for long and short periods of time.
  3. This is largely a sedentary role, however, working in the warehouse to perform process and proficiency audits is required.
