Outdoor Life is seeking a Staff Writer to join its expert team of journalists. We’re looking for someone to cover breaking news in the outdoors and conservation world, write in-depth gear reviews, and craft detailed how-to stories. It also promises a heavy workload, short deadlines, and the demand of constant improvement. A commitment to excellence is required.

If you love hunting, fishing, good storytelling, and hard work as much as we do, then this will be a dream job.

The Responsibilities:

  • Pitch and write news briefs on record fish and critters, conservation issues, animal attacks, and other viral stories.

  • Report and write detailed how-to and explainer stories based on SEO research. The focus will be on core hunting and fishing topics.
