What the job is all about:

We are looking for a talented and self-motivated Engineering Change Coordinator to join Ross’ R&D Operations team reporting to the Manager of Component Engineering & Change Management.

The Engineering Change Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining a structured change control process for efficiently managing product changes, including documentation requirements, approval workflows, and revision control mechanisms.

As an Engineering Change Coordinator, you will receive Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) initiated by the engineering teams, facilitate cross-functional reviews and ensure timely approvals for implementation at Ross’ in-house manufacturing facility. 

You will work within the Engineering organization to assist with Bill of Materials (BOMs) and ECO-related inquiries, providing guidance, support, and assistance to stakeholders as needed.  You will be responsible for enforcing BOM structure, hierarchy, and naming conventions to maintain the accuracy and integrity of product definitions.  You will regularly liaise with product management, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain and quality assurance stakeholders to ensure alignment and consensus.

This position is located at our Ottawa location.  During the on-boarding period, the candidate will be expected to be in the office at least 2 days per week.
 
Who you are:

  • A sound understanding of assembly BOMs and product structure
  • Strong level using Excel: Pivot tables and Macros a definite asset
  • Experience with PowerPoint
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
  • knowledge of Engineering Change Management principles
  • Experience delivering training is an asset
  • An inquisitive self-starter, who can work effectively in a team or as an individual contributor
  • An effective communicator, who can interact with internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers
  • A quality and efficiency driven team member whose attention to detail is world class
  • Organized, adaptable and able to manage a fluctuating workload, able to adapt to the business needs

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Experience working in an Engineering Change Coordinator role, or equivalent
    Knowledge of Engineering Change Management principles
  • Knowledge of Oracle Agile or other PLM system
