At Ross Video, we are at the cutting edge of Live Video production, powering much of the world’s most compelling Live Events with our Smart Production Solutions.  We are looking for a dynamic, highly driven Commercial Operations Specialist to help move us toward completion and implementation of projects.

 

The Product & Pricing Operations Specialist will actively support our product and sales teams by handling various tasks on Salesforce and the CPQ platform, including the creation and configuration of products (both standalone and bundled), troubleshooting quoting issues, and offering pricing support and analysis. This role involves a strategic and proactive approach in recommending enhancements in Salesforce.com or CPQ functionalities to boost the Product Team's marketing efforts and equip our Sales team with essential tools.

 

This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will apply their analytical prowess and strategic thinking to streamline workflows, improve the quality of our data, and align product structuring methods with business initiatives and customer expectations. Integrity, motivation, passion, and exceptional communication skills are crucial for this role.

What the job is all about:

  • Create and maintain product structures and rules within SFDC, ensuring consistency in how we present products across product lines.
  • Assist in updating product and pricing data in SFDC.
  • Perform detailed analysis of current operational workflows and systems to pinpoint inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Utilize advanced data analysis and process mapping methodologies to thoroughly document existing operations.
  • Support Sales and Product Management on commercial systems (Conga CPQ, SFDC, etc.).
  • Answer questions and aid product management and sales users.
  • Research and implement new commercial systems functionality as required (for example, guided selling, price rules, promotions, etc.).
  • Develop and deliver training to new Product Management staff (BDM’s, PM’s, POM’s) on how to use SFDC and the CPQ.

 

Who you are:

 

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • Basic Knowledge & Proficiency (minimum 1 years’ experience) with Salesforce.com.
  • Basic Knowledge & Proficiency (minimum 1-year experience) with Salesforce CPQ, Conga CPQ or another CPQ tool (certification is a plus).
  • Intermediate Knowledge & Proficiency with MS Excel (navigational shortcuts, formulas such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF, PivotTables and Pivot Charts).
  • Basic Knowledge & Proficiency with standard office tools such as MS Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of sales processes and/or experience in sales.
  • Knowledge of product management process and/or experience in product management/marketing.
  • Extremely detail oriented – passionate about accuracy.
  • Organized – able to juggle the demands of multiple projects.
  • Excellent planning and scheduling skills.
  • Proactive and action oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - an ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • “Change agent” who is interested in improving internal processes.
  • Excellent communication skills – comfortable presenting to audiences of 10-20 ppl.
  • Analytical problem solver – able to understand and create solutions for complex requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate as well as work independently.

 

Remote candidates welcome.  Occasional travel to our Ottawa, Ontario, Canada offices will be required.
